The first few weeks are always the hardest with keeping up with the names of all the contestants, but there’s always a few people who stand out from the get-go, so let’s find out who those men are.
Date 1 – Group Date
Participant – Grant, Luke S., Mike, Jed, Jonathan, John Paul Jones, Dylan, Luke P.
Prompt – “I’m looking for my Mr. Right”
The guys meet Hannah at a theater where runway coach Miss J. Alexander, and drag queens Alyssa Edwards and Alaska, reveal that they’re having a “Mr. Right” pageant. The men will have to show a talent portion of the show and I’m particularly excited for the Speedo portion of the pageant. There’re some fun scenes of the contestants interacting with the drag queens.
During the pageant, Hannah, Miss J. Alexander, Alyssa Edwards and Alaska are the judges. The speedo portion of the pageant just has the men basically get up on the stage and drop the robe that they’re wearing to reveal their speedos, which causes the judges and entire audience to lose their shit. No one particularly stood out except HOLY SHIT LUKE P. IS RIPPED! We’ve got a Captain America bod up in here!
Next is the talent portion. John Paul Jones is on a unicycle, someone plays trumpet (badly), someone juggles, someone walks in heels, and Jed plays acoustic guitar and he sings a song about being her Mr. Right. Don’t get me wrong, if I could play acoustic guitar and use it to my advantage, I would… but Jed is starting to feel like a one-trick-pony. Meanwhile, Luke P. comes out in a suit and tells her that he’s falling in love with her. Now call me skeptical, but it seems pretty early to be busting out that card. He walks up to her and kisses her, and the other judges flip out. Needless to say, Luke P. was crowned Mr. Right.
During the cocktail portion of the date, Luke P. pulls Hannah away first, and all the other men talk about how they think he’s being fake. While Hannah is talking to him, she asks how he can be sure that he’s falling in love with her when they’ve only known each other for less than 48 hours. He said he’s had feelings for her since before they met, and his feelings have just been developing. I genuinely don’t think he’s lying to her, but I can’t help but feel that he should rein it in a bit and let those feelings develop a bit more. Hannah said to the camera that she believes him.
Some of the men confront Luke P. when he gets back to his seat. Luke P. is one of the character types that when he wants something he goes after it and that is threatening to other contestants. He just needs to be careful not to make too many enemies because he doesn’t want a target on his back.
Hannah ends up giving the group date rose to Jed. The camera pans over to Luke P. who looks heart-broken. That must be something hard for the bachelorette to deal with, when someone tells you they’re falling in love with you and you have to avoid their eye-contact after you give the date rose to someone else.
Date 2 – Solo Date
Participant – Tyler G.
Prompt – “Falling in love can be messy”
First one-on-one of the season! Hannah meets up with the group of men and pulls Tyler G. away for their date and takes him on a helicopter. The other men just have to watch as the helicopter takes off with Hannah and Tyler. Apparently the “messy” portion of the prompt has to do with the fact that they were riding on quads in the mud. I have to appreciate the fact that she decided to wear all white on this date that is intentionally messy.
They are talking while drinking wine and he talks about being nervous and then Hannah goes on a tangent about how she felt on her first date with Colton… which I’m sure Tyler loved to hear about. The long story short that Hannah was trying to convey was that she wished she was more open with Colton on her first date with him and she wishes that he would be open with her on this date.
On the dinner portion of their date, Hannah is wearing a gold sequins dress and a black leather coat over it. Super edgy-glamorous. They talk about being genuine with each other and being expressive with each other. He asks her about her dreams, and she says that her dream is to be a mom and have a family. She tells him that she’d like to know him better and offers him the date rose.
Date 3 – Group Date
Participant – Devin, Matteo, Daron, Connor J., Kevin, Dustin, Tyler C., Joey, Peter, Garrett
Prompt – “Let’s get our love on track”
They go to a roller derby ring! As someone who was practicing roller derby, I am STOKED about this group date. They have the LA Derby Dolls helping to train them! Hannah is looking for people who are having fun no matter if they are good or if they suck, which is good since apparently, they all suck at roller skating. There’s a fun clip of just a lot of the men falling on their butts.
So, the contestants are going to have a bout. There’s an orange team and a green team. They flail around the ring and it almost feels like a joke with how much they’re just falling all over each other. Somehow, the green team won, and the orange team was quite salty about it.
During the cocktail part of the date, Hannah pulls Dustin away first. Dustin fell and hurt his ankle during the bout. He admits that he’s shy and not loud and is worried that he won’t stand out among the other men, but then they make out and it’s all ok.
During the group date cocktail party, Cam makes his way into the date and interrupts Devin’s time to have time with Hannah. Cam isn’t even part of this group date and he just walked past the other men and had the audacity to interrupt Devin. Needless to say, this is not a good look for Cam and the other men on the date are pissed. Cam tells her that it was hard to sit back and not have time with her. She said it was a good surprise and is non-verbally telling him to leave.
While Cam is talking to the camera, Tyler C. approaches him and it’s a bit awkward and passive aggressive between the two of them. Then Garrett approaches him and tells him that he doesn’t appreciate it. Then Kevin approaches him and also talks to him. Hannah apologizes to the men because the surprise that happened did take up some of their time. She gives the group date rose to Dustin.
Cocktail Party
Hannah is in a beautiful, long sleeve, red dress that his slits all down the sides. Hannah enters the cocktail party and she’s tearing up a bit and says she wants to be real with them. The whole time she was talking it seemed like she was gearing up to reveal something bad to the group, but then she lists her glass and apparently it was a toast! She sits with a few of the guys and she’s sitting with Kevin when Cam comes and pulls them both away (which is admittedly odd). They are directed to a heart-shaped rose petal outing and they all sat down together within the heart but then Cam isolated Hannah’s attention. Kevin confronts Cam in the mansion and tells him he can go f*ck himself and he knocks the chicken nuggets out of Cam’s hand.
Jed is being respectful. He already has a rose, but he wanted the other men to have their own time. On the other hand, Luke P. is alone with her and his giving her a massage. She goes to massage him and makes him take his shirt off and of course, Jed walks in on the two of them making out while Luke’s shirt was off. Hannah is basically dying of embarrassment. They talk it through and he’s able to joke with her and convince her that it didn’t bother him to the extent that she thought it would.

After the rose ceremony is over Luke P. walks into Hannah’s confessional. They hug and you could cut the sexual tension with a knife. She sits on his lap and they start talking about when he said that was falling for her. I feel so sure that Luke P. will make it to final 4.
The credits scene was Hannah sitting with one of the guys (sorry, I can’t identify all of them just yet) but they were talking about how when Hannah was in Thailand, she ate a bug and Colton didn’t. So, this guy offered to eat a bug for her and gave her 5 different options to choose from. Hannah chose that he should eat all of them, and the guy picked up all five of the bugs and tossed them in his mouth. While he was chewing, you heard every single crunch of the bugs in his mouth and it honestly made me gag.
