We’re still floating on down here.
Yes, The Losers have reunited in Derry, and we’re back podcasting about IT Chapter 2 — the #1 movie in America.
Pop Break’s film editor Marisa Carpico, and senior film writer Tommy Tracy sit down to talk about the conclusion to the big screen adaptation of Stephen King’s classic novel.
The duo talk compare IT Chapter 2 to the box office, critical, and audience darling that was the original, they talk about the cast and how they “grew up” in the second film. They also discuss the big finale, the various Easter eggs and cameos throughout the film, and the overall elements of horror and comedy in the film.
IT Chapter Two stars Jessica Chastain as Bev Marsh, James McAvoy as Bill Denbrough, Bill Hader as Richie Tozier, Isaiah Mustafa as Mike Hanlon, Jay Ryan as Ben Hanscom, James Ransone as Eddie Kaspbrak, and Bill Skarsgård as Pennywise the Dancing Clown.
The film, released this past weekend, brought in $91 million domestically and $94 internationally — which was a definite, and necessary shot in the arm for a flat, and mediocre few months at the box office.
