Pop Break Live: Lauv ~how i’m feeling~ World Tour at Terminal 5 in New York City

On October 11th, 2019, pop singer-songwriter Lauv put on an amazing show at Terminal 5 in New York City.
Lauv opened with one of his newest singles “Drugs & The Internet,” a song inspired by his struggle with depression. The crowd was screaming before he came out, and didn’t stop through the whole first song.
He then sang some songs from his immensely popular compilation album, I Met You When I was 18 (The Playlist), some of the most memorable being “Easy Love,” “Chasing Fire,” and “The Other.”
There was a lot of passion in his performance. Lauv stopped multiple times to acknowledge people in the crowd and said he thought this performance, his second one in New York, would be even better than the last.
During his performance of “Sad Forever,” the singer got emotional as the single is inspired by his personal battle with mental health. That was an especially inspiring moment he shared with fans, and the love and support could be felt in the room.
Other notable performances included “fuck, i’m lonely,” which had everyone screaming along, and his final encore song, arguably his most popular hit, “I Like Me Better.” Lauv had everyone dancing with him by the end of the night.
There were also some unique additions to this tour. Opening act bülow was a great surprise, and a perfect introduction to the main set. Lauv included a confessional booth called “my blue thoughts” for fans to share “something that’s holding you back, something that’s weighing you down, something you’re afraid to tell somebody,” as Lauv explained. This booth allows people to share their secrets anonymously and upload them to a special website.
Overall, the show was a wonderful, interactive experience that will leave your throat and feet sore the next day. Lauv was electric onstage and the tour is one you shouldn’t miss out on.
