The Maine brought their “Mirror Tour” to The Culture Room in Fort Lauderdale, Florida on Sunday night October 27.
2019 has been a wild year for The Maine. First, the year marked the 10th anniversary of their first record Can’t Stop Won’t Stop. They headlined their own music festival The 8123 Fest in January. They then created The Sad Summer Fest featuring Mayday Parade, We the Kings, and Just Friends and toured it around the country. Lead singer John O’Callaghan (who was seeing jumping on top of speakers during this show) got engaged, and drummer Patrick Kirch and his wife announced they’re expecting a child.
And of course, the band dropped their latest record You Are OK on in February. This record is currently being promoted on the band’s aforementioned tour which hit Florida in late October and will be seen in Europe in the coming weeks.
Opening the show up was the trio, Twin XL. This band is the collaboration between Nekokat’s Cameron Walker-Wright, and former The Summer Set Members Stephen and John Gomez. The members of this outfit have written for the likes of All Time Low and Lindsey Stirling and have had their music featured in Netflix’s Lucifer, and the Disney film Christopher Robin.
