The Monday Night RAW 12/2 episode starts with AOP’s car rolling up and Charly Caruso asks them why they attacked Kevin Owens last week. They answered in their native languages and when she asked them to translate, their response was “Charlie, you look lovely tonight” which left her looking as confused as I was at that response.
Seth Rollins made his way to the ring. He spent some time talking about how the people he gets into the ring with are his family. He admits that he might have gone overboard last week and wanted to apologize. He apologized to the audience first, and the crowd LOUDLY boos. He then apologized to everyone in the locker room, and then directly to Kevin Owens, who he invited to join him in the ring.
Kevin Owens made his way to the ring. Kevin and Seth had a back and forth where Owens says that Rollins is full of BS. AOP’s music started to play while the two men were talking and AOP came out from the back and spoke in their native languages again, with the audience chanting “What?” in the background. AOP challenged Seth and Kevin to a tag team match. Kevin refused to have a tag match for fear of being tagged up against both AOP and Seth. Seth left the ring, AOP left, and Kevin was left alone in the ring. He initiated an open invitation to have anyone come out and wrestle him.
Lana made her way out from the back in a rather revealing dress. She spoke about how Monday Night RAW is all about her. Kevin attempts to cut her off and it’s pretty entertaining. He told her to shut up and stop talking. Their back and forth was reminiscent of the kind of arguments that came out of the Jersey Shore crew. Apparently, Lana filed a restraining order against Rusev. Then Kevin said the funniest thing. He said, “I’ve never met someone who talks so much and manages to say absolutely nothing.” On top of that, Owens managed to call her repulsive. She introduced Bobby Lashley, who walked out from the back. There are two police officers walking around with Lana to protect her in the scenario that Rusev would show up.
Lashley and Owens start off strong against each other. Owens charges Lashley but Lashley is able to get the spine buster off on Owens. Owens gets out of the ring, as Lashley pursues Owens trips Lashley up on the ring apron as Lashley falls to the ground. Lashley has control during most of the match. Owens turns it around with a pop-up power bomb. AOP makes their way to the ring and double-team Owens. The match ends in a disqualification. After knocking out Kevin Owens, AOP dragged him into the back in a comical fashion.
Lana and Lashley were in the ring talking when Rusev came out from the audience and beat on Lashley. After knocking Lashley out, Rusev ran out of the ring and back into the crowd. Lashley then yelled at the cops about not doing their job. He accidentally nudged one of the cops as he left the ring and the cop put him in handcuffs. Lana, in all of her hysterics, got so upset that she smacked one of the cops across the face. Lana is then also put in handcuffs and is escorted out.
Drew McIntyre made his way to the ring for his match against Akira Tozawa. McIntyre is so much taller than Tozawa that he dropped to his knees to be on more of an eye level with him. McIntyre was throwing Tozawa around as if he weighed nothing at all. After throwing him around for the whole match, McIntyre got the pin on Tozawa.
After winning, Drew called out Randy Orton. Randy came out and made his way into the ring and after some back and forth with Drew, he tried to leave the ring, which upset Drew. After some more discussion, they look like they’re about to fight, but then The OC came out from the back. They talk about how they’re upset, but they’d be happy if they could fight against Randy Orton tonight. And after all that discussion, Drew decides that this isn’t a “Drew McIntyre problem” so he just left the ring.
The OC proceeded to attack Randy Orton, three on one. After they gang up on Randy Orton, Ricochet made his way out from the back to lend a hand. Once Ricochet starts getting ganged up on, Humberto Carillo made his way into the ring to lend a hand as well. After he made his way into the ring, Rey Mysterio made his way into the ring. Between Randy Orton, and the three other men who invited themselves into the ring, The OC retreated.
Aleister Black had a match against Tony Nese. The match was pretty uneventful, though there were a few moments where it looked like Nese was gaining control of the match. Aleister Black inevitably gained complete control of the match and successfully pinned Tony.
Andrade and Zelina Vega made their way into the ring for his match against Eric Young. Andrade had control during almost the entire match. Eric did an elbow drop on Andrade and almost got pinned. There were a few more pin attempts done my Andrade, but inevitably Andrade lands a DDT and gets the pin on Eric.
R-Truth was hiding from a group of wrestlers who were looking to take the 24/7 belt from him. He was behind NASCAR racers Kyle Busch, and Michael Waltrip. The friend eventually unzipped his hoodie to reveal a referee shirt. And just then, Kyle Busch pinned R-Truth and claimed the 24/7 belt. Maybe now they’ll be able to do something interesting with it, or it’ll just end up back in the hands of R-Truth.
Street Profits did a Cyber Monday plug for the WWE shop.
No Way Jose danced his way into the ring, as usual. Meanwhile, Erick Rowan walked into the ring while holding onto a covered cage. He put the cage on the top of the stairs before entering the ring. Jose’s conga line people seemed like they were going to peek into the cage, but Erick jumped out of the ring to attack the people who were going to peek. Rowan pinned No Way Jose and we never get to see what was in the cage.
Charlotte Flair made her way into the ring for her match against the Kabuki Warriors. Kairi and Asuka attacked Charlotte before the bell even rang. As soon as the bell rang, Asuka and Charlotte go at it. Asuka does a good job at keeping control through most of the match. Kairi lends a hand every so often, pulling Charlotte out of the ring. Asuka does a German Suplex to Charlotte. Charlotte traps Kairi into a figure four and almost got Kairi to tap, but Asuka jumped in and broke it up. Charlotte tried to get Asuka into a figure four, and Asuka tried to get Charlotte into an arm bar, but neither are successful. Charlotte did a double spear in the two women, and she almost pinned Asuka. While Charlotte was holding Asuka in a Figure 8 position, Kairi jumped from the top rope and landed directly on Charlotte, effectively knocking her out. Kairi then got the pin.
The Viking Raiders come out swinging. They make a quick job of Mark Sterling and Mitchell Lyols.
Monday Night RAW 12/2 episode wrapped up with the tag match between Ray Mysterio, Humberto Carillo, and Ricochet versus The OC. The match is fairly balanced between the OC and the other team. AJ Styles does some amazing moves, and the same can be said for Ricochet and Ray Mysterio, but I wouldn’t expect anything else from them. Gallows attempted to pin Ray Mysterio a few times, but nothing lands. The OC gained control over the match until Ricochet is tapped in. He almost landed a pin on AJ Styles, up until the 2.5 count. Everyone ended up in the ring and eventually they all got thrown out of the ring so that just AJ Styles and Ricochet were the only ones left in the ring. AJ lands a Frog Splash on Ricochet before getting the pin on him. But, once AJ Styles was the only one in the ring, Randy Orton performed an RKO on him.
