Welcome back to another exciting installment of Pop Break TV’s Live, Laugh, & Lovey. The crew dives into the fourth episode of the new Starz original series Power Book II: Ghost.
If you need to score some drugs on the campus, have no fear–there’s an app for that! With Tariq’s (Michael Rainey) imagination and with the back of Monet (Mary J. Blige); in this week’s episode, a variation of substances (aka tutoring packets) are delivered immediately to the student’s doorstep. We also learn Davis (Method Man) and Paula (Sherri M. Saum) are sleeping together, though he is married to a woman named Marilyn.
Power Book II: Ghost is the hotly anticipated sequel to the Starz Original Series Power. Power ran from 2014 to 2020 and was created and produced by Courtney A. Kemp (who also created Power Book II: Ghost), in collaboration with Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson (who also had a major acting role in the series as Kanan Stark).
This series picks up days after the finale of the original Power and follows Tariq St. Patrick, son of original series character James St. Patrick aka Ghost. The sequel series follows Tariq St. Patrick’s journey in his new life (away at school) where he wants to put his father’s legacy behind him, but pressure to save his family might cause him to go down the same path.
The series also stars iconic R&B singer Mary J. Blige, Shane Johnson (Raising the Bar), Melanie Liburd (The Grinder), Paige Hurd (Everybody Hates Chris), Mark Feuerstein (Royal Pains), Larenz Tate (Dead Presidents) and Glynn Thurman (A Different World).
