Brothers Aaron and Josh Sarnecky reunite to talk about Corpse Bride for its 15th anniversary.
Corpse Bride is a stop-motion animated film directed by Tim Burton and Mike Johnson. It released in theaters on September 23, 2005. It stars Johnny Depp as Victor Van Dort, a young groom who accidentally proposes to a reanimated corpse while practicing his vows. Helena Bonham Carter plays Emily, the titular bride. Emily Watson portrays Victoria Everglot, Victor’s fiancée. Tracey Ullman and Paul Whitehouse play Victor’s parents while Albert Finney and Joanna Lumley play Victoria’s. Other roles include Richard E. Grant as the villainous Barkis Bittern, Christopher Lee as Pastor Galswells, and Michael Gough as the undead Elder Gutknecht.
The film made $118 million at the box office and garnered favorable reviews by critics. It was nominated for Best Animated Feature at the Oscars.
