Josh and Aaron Sarnecky are back for a special bonus podcast. This time the two are talking about Disney’s Lilo & Stitch for its 20th anniversary.
Lilo & Stitch is an animated film directed by Chris Sanders and Dean DeBlois. It opened in theaters on June 21, 2002.
The movie follows Lilo (Daveigh Chase), a young girl living in Hawaii with her older sister, Nani (Tia Carrere). Upending their lives is Stitch (Chris Sanders), an alien fugitive passing as their dog. Stitch must evade capture while Nani proves to the social worker Cobra Bubbles (Ving Rhames) that she is fit to raise Lilo on her own.
The film was a hit with moviegoers and critics, garnering an Oscar nomination for Best Animated Feature. It spawned several direct-to-video sequels and television shows.
Aaron and Josh talk about the film’s elements, including its plot, characters, humor, and animation. They also discuss how it compares to previous Disney cartoons.
