This entire season of All Access has been a rollercoaster of events that have happened. Between Full Gear, Winter is Coming, injuries, and real-life animosity, all culminate at AEW Dynamite at the Kia Forum. In this episode, we look closely at the street fight match between Tay Melo, Anna Jay, Willow Nightingale, and Ruby Soho. The Young Bucks redeem themselves from All Out and reclaim their trio’s titles and the shocking return of Adam Cole.
Anything Boys Can Do Girls Can Do Too:
When this match first aired there was a lot of criticism, especially with Ruby Soho getting busted open early on in the match. In the episode both Soho and Melo explain how nervous they were for this match because it is not like a regular styled match. Soho even says that she felt as if she was in a car accident after the match was over. Melo’s husband Sammy Guevara was watching on proudly as his wife proved how much of a badass she is. Soho even complimented Melo by saying throughout the match anytime she felt nervous Melo was there and proved how much of a professional she truly is. Tony Khan also loved the match and was proud of all four women as they put their lives on the line in a risky match, so in the end, everything was worth it.
Everything Comes Down to Game Seven:
Game Seven. The Kia Forum. In front of 25-30 of their closest friends and family, The Young Bucks and Kenny Omega win back the titles they never lost in an amazing ladder match. The Bucks were extremely nervous as ladder matches are no easy task, but being in front of their friends and family made the moment even more special. They moved past all of the drama that happened in September and now they are back doing the one thing they love professional wrestling.
Some Moments are Worth Fighting For:
The last 20 minutes of this episode were dedicated towards Adam Cole’s return, deservedly so. The episode starts with AEW security trying to hide Cole so no one can report he is in the building. They hid him in a wheelchair with a blanket over him and wheeled him all the way to Tony Khan’s bathroom as he hid until it was time for his segment. Britt and Adam talk about how Cole’s anxiety feels different and this is a second debut for him. Watching how proud Baker is in the back watching Cole’s promo just shows how loving their real-life relationship is. The episode ends with Cole’s return match against Daniel Garcia as Britt and The Bucks watch anxiously from the back. Britt and Cole end the episode by saying how this whole situation put wrestling into perspective for them and any bump you take can truly be your last. Cole says he is grateful to be back and can’t wait to see what is next in his wrestling journey.
Overall: I think the series is great for wrestling fans and non wrestling fans. Wrestling fans get what they want to see by hearing the stories of their favorites and some behind-the-scenes stuff you may not have heard about. Where a non-wrestling fan can still watch this series and not be confused about what is going on because each superstar does a great job explaining everything to the casual viewer. This was also a great way to humanize a lot of the wrestlers as well since we saw them in a new light. The series was fun, I hope they do a season two.
