Socially Distanced #204: Wrestlemania XL Preview PLUS Netflix’s BODKIN

The Socially Distanced Podcast is hosted by two pop culture obsessed dads who decided to take their Facebook messenger conversations and turn them into a podcast. In 2022 they brought their friend, a pop culture obsessed mom to the show, and things got even better!

Join hosts Al Mannarino, Amanda Rivas and Bill Bodkin as they discuss everything in the world movies, music, sports, television and pop culture — everything keeping them sane in this time of socially distancing. This podcast is powered by ThePopBreak.com.

Whoaaaa whooaaaaa it’s Wrestlemania! That’s right, Socially Distanced is doing its first-ever all wrestling show!

In this episode, Amanda Rivas, “The Human Star Wars Encyclopedia,” is in the host seat and she’s driving the bus all the way to Philadelphia as we’re doing predictions for the biggest Wrestlemania ever — Wrestlemania XL (that’s Wrestlemania 40 for all you non-Roman numeral cats)!

Amanda is joined, as always, by Pop Break’s editor-in-chief Bill Bodkin and Devin Carter from Texas’ Hybrid School of Wrestling and River City Wrestling. In the episode, this trio gets emotional and nostalgic about how they fell in love with wrestling and the men and women in their families that inspired and fostered their love for all things wrestling. Devin goes in-depth on his wrestling experience and inspirations — and they just might surprise you. They also discuss their favorite Wrestlemania shows, matches and moments.

The main event of the show, however, is the predictions for Wrestlemania XL itself. They debate if Cody Rhodes will finish the show. They discuss whether The Rock has overshadowed the event. They extol the virtues of Gunther and how he transcends the current WWE product. They wish certain matches were getting more love and scratching their heads at some matches that made the card.

In the pre-game, they discuss the trailer for the new Netflix series BODKIN starring Will Forte and is produced by The Obamas.
