For the second time this year, NXT will have a premium live event in Stand and Deliver. Despite all of the championships being on the line the main event for this show will be the highly anticipated Trick Williams vs Carmello Hayes match. With all that being said let’s predict Stand and Deliver.
NXT Championship: Ilja Dragunov vs Tony D’Angelo: This was not the match I was expecting on this show. The unfortunate part is that this whole feud has been hiding in the dark compared to the Williams and Melo feud that has been the center point of this premium live event. Although this should be a fun match, there is no way Dragunov is losing here.
Winner: “And Still” Ilja Dragunov
NXT Tag Team Championship Match: Bron Breakker and Baron Corbin (C) vs Nathan Frazer and Axiom: This is going to be a fun one. Since Breakker is already on the Smackdown roster I did not expect his Tag Team Championship reign to be long, and I believe this is where it ends. I think Frazer and Axiom are the perfect team to carry the NXT Tag Team division because of how over and talented they are.
Winners: “And New” Nathan Frazer and Axiom
Shawn Spears vs Joe Gacy: Spears gets his first NXT premium live event for the first time in around five years. I think that Spears has to get the win here because he just came back to NXT. Although Gacy has lost during the feud with Dijak, I don’t think a loss here can hurt him. I also think that this should open the card.
Winner: Shawn Spears
NXT Women’s Championship: Lyra Valkyria (C) vs Roxxane Perez: Do not be surprised if Perez picks up the win here. Now that she is finally getting into her heel character this feud has been fantastic. I think Perez has more to gain in a win compared to a loss, especially if she is not being brought up to the main roster after this weekend. I think Tatum Paxley will accidentally cost her best friend the win, leading Perez to become a two-time champion.
Winner: “And New” Roxxane Perez
Triple Threat Match for the NXT North American Championship: Oba Femi (C) vs Dijak vs Josh Briggs: Triple-threat matches in wrestling happen to protect people, which is why Briggs is in this match to take the pinfall. Dijak is on a roll right now in NXT and Femi is so over as champion that it is too early to have him lose. Femi will pin Briggs so Dijak and Femi can continue their feud into the summer, which could lead to the eventual championship win from Dijak.
Winner: “And Still” Oba Femi
Thea Hail, Fallon Henley, and Kelani Jordan vs Jacy Jane, Kiana James, and Izzi Dame: The babyface team has to win here right? The heels have been dominant the last couple of weeks and Jane has made Hail’s life miserable. The crowd will pop huge for Hail to pin Jane so they can both move on and do other things in the NXT Women’s Division. Don’t sleep on this match, it should be a great one.
Winners: Thea Hail, Fallon Henley, and Kelani Jordan
Trick Williams vs Carmello Hayes: This match is going to be phenomenal. The storytelling in which both men have done has been great and this could very well be the match of the weekend. Given that Hayes is due to be called up to the main roster at any moment now, you have to give the win to Williams. They mentioned last week that Williams has a history in Philadelphia and his Uncle would be watching live in the crowd, and that alone is why he will woop that Trick.
Winner: Trick Williams
