As of late NXT has been on a role. With the NXTNA partnership going well and Shawn Michaels continuing to give surprises to the fans every week some would say that this show should be phenomenal. Let’s just hope all the momentum this brand has had continues to roll into Toronto this weekend.
Pre-Show:
Arianna Grace and Karmen Petrovic vs Jacy Jane and Jazmyn Nyx: Grace continues to be one of the most entertaining parts of the Tuesday night weekly television show, and if she ever gets the opportunity to win a title, she is going to take the ball and run with it. Since this past weekend on NXT, they made a big deal about Petrovic and Grace competing in their hometown this weekend, they’ll get the win here by pinning Nyx and protecting Jane.
Winners: Arianna Grace and Karmen Petrovic
Main Show:
NXT Women’s Championship: Roxxane Perez vs Lola Vice: The face-off these two had this past week on NXT did not sell me on this match. Vice still has some work to do on the mic as when she was crying during the promo there were some words that you can not understand. This match will be fine, but Perez will win as the time is getting closer and closer before Giulia steps into NXT to challenge her for the NXT Women’s Championship.
Winner: “And Still” Roxxane Perez
Last Chance for the NXT North American Championship: Oba Femi vs Wes Lee: If the NXTNA partnership was not going on at the moment I would have picked Lee in a heartbeat. Now that there is potential for a full Rascalz reunion and it has been discussed on both ends, Lee does not need the title. Femi is still too hot right now to take the title off of him, as I think when the time comes it will be an up-in-comer who they have built up tremendously for it to make sense for Femi to drop the title.
Winner: “And Still” Oba Femi
NXT Women’s North American Championship: Kelani Jordan vs Sol Ruca: This is a sleeper match for this weekend’s card because this is the match that has the chance to steal the whole show, Both of these women have come from a gymnastics background and they have been able to apply that to the ring seamlessly. I think if you want to elevate the title it is too early for Jordan to lose it, but like I said this should be a great match.
Winner: “And Still” Kelani Jordan
NXT Tag Team Championships: Axiom and Nathan Frazer vs Chase University (Duke Hudson and Andre Chase): Given that Axiom and Frazer were not on the same page Tuesday night I do not think they are going to be on the same page this weekend. I think Ridge Holland is going to sneak to Toronto and secretly cheat again to help Chase U regain their tag team championships. This will lead to Chase U being back on top of NXT as well as the split between Frazer and Axiom as Frazer shifts his focus onto other things within WWE.
Winners: “And New” Chase University (Duke Hudson and Andre Chase)
Fatal Four Way Match for the NXT Championship: Trick Williams vs Ethan Page vs Je’Von Evans vs Shawn Spears: This match can go several different ways, especially since on Tuesday they heavily teased the “Williams does not need to be pinned to lose the title” scenario. I do not think Williams should lose the title yet, as he is the most over person on the NXT roster, but I would not be surprised if he did lose it here. For the safe bet I am going with Williams pinning Evans to protect both the hometown boy and Page.
Winner: “And Still” Trick Williams
