Pop Break Live: Fletcher ‘In Search of the Antidote’ Tour with Madue Latour at The Fillmore in Philadelphia, PA on Tuesday September 17, 2024
Singer-songwriter Fletcher stopped in at the Fillmore in Philadelphia on Tuesday September 17th. She is touring in support of her critically acclaimed second studio album, In Search of the Antidote. Fletcher hails from Asbury Park, New Jersey so it was no surprise that this show was sold-out as she has a lot of fans in the Tri-State area.
Rising pop star Maude Latour opened up the show. Her debut studio album Sugar Water dropped on August 16 and was met with many favorable reviews. The album is filled with some really catchy pop songs. She definitely is a gifted writer. There is no doubt that she had her share of fans in the huge crowd as they sang along during her set. Latour had a fun upbeat charismatic stage presence and was the perfect pick to open up the show. The audience really showed her the love at the end of her set. She set the stage for what would become a really memorable night of music.
Fletcher put on a wildly entertaining performance throughout the night. No doubt the fans were pumped up to hear her newest songs live. Some of the new songs that really stood out were “Pretending,” “Ego Talking,” “Attached to You” and “Joyride.” Her back-to-back songs with “All Love” and a cover of the Beyonce song “Irreplaceable” was a highlight as was “Girls Girls Girl,” “Undrunk” and “Eras of Us.”
Props to her incredible band who hit the mark consistently, especially on “Bitter.” The chemistry between her and the crowd was amazing to watch. Her banter with the crowd was funny at times. During the show Fletcher was checking out some of the signs the fans brought. Some were naughty and as they were read out loud the crowd roared with laughter It was such a funny moment. Also, it’s not very often an engagement happens during a show but it did. Fletcher seemed very touched that a couple from Germany was in the audience and “she said yes.”
It was a killer encore. Fletcher performed “Doing Better” up in the balcony surrounded by her fans then made it back to the stage to sing fan favorite “Becky’s So Hot.” This was one of the best shows I’ve ever seen at this venue. It was such a great appreciative audience. What a memorable show!.
