Anime x Pop: Dragon Ball Daima Premiere + Henry Cavill in Live Action Voltron

There’s never a dull moment in the world of anime and Pop Break is diving right into the action! Join anime enthusiasts Amanda Rivas and Josh Sarnecky as they geek out monthly with dedicated experts and special guests on exciting anime news, trending anime in TV and/or movies, and anime recommendations spanning different genres that everyone should be watching. If you are a lifelong anime lover or taking the initial leap into the genre that has something for everyone, this is the podcast for you!

Join us as we do our best Fusion Dance because this month Amanda is joined by Super Saiyans and decorated pro-wrestlers Blackbelt Jess E James, K-Jax, and Branden Vice to discuss this month’s feature review section.

Our enthusiasts take a stroll through the anime content minds to discuss favorite series they’ve been watching recently, including Branden’s recommendation of The Ossan Newbie Adventurer, Trained to Death; Jess E’s recommendations of Dragonball Heroes, Ronin Warriors, Saint Seiya; and K-Jax’s recommendations of Yu Yu Hakusho, Castlevania, Rurouni Kenshin, and Case Closed. Jess E and K-Jax both also recommended Baki and My Hero Academia. Amanda continues her quest to get as many people as possible to watch One Piece as the latest episode was her recommendation for this month.

All recommendations are found on Crunchyroll with Baki, Castlevania, Saint Seiya, and Ronin Warriors being found on Netflix.

In Anime News, they discuss Henry Cavill joining the cast for the Amazon-MGM live action adaptation of Voltron and the special trailer released to commemorate the 20th anniversary of the original Bleach anime.

In their feature review section, our enthusiasts discuss the late Akira Toriyama’s final project Dragon Ball Daima, an all-new, original story set after the Majin Buu fight in Dragonball Z. They talk about their relationship with the Dragonball franchise, their hype level for Daima, thoughts on the plot, where they think this season will go, and so much more.

Stay tuned next month as Anime x Pop dives into Bleach: Thousand Year Blood War Season 3 and Dandadan!
