311 Celebrate 30 Years of the Blue Album at Pier 17

311 Unity Tour

Pop Break Live: 311 ‘Unity Tour 2025’ at The Rooftop at Pier 17 in New York City on June 29, 2025

There aren’t many bands that have stayed together for over 30 years let alone perform at an elite level and consistently deliver new music to their fan base.

Then again, 311 is not like most bands.

While other bands from the ’90s alternative scene have taken long breaks, replaced band members, or disbanded altogether, the 311 quintet has been going strong since 1992.

The band dropped their latest album Full Boom (the band’s 14th (!) studio album) last fall and are currently on the latest incarnation of their annual Unity Tour (which kicked off in Atlantic City, NJ).

This year’s Unity Tour is behind both the release of Full Bloom and the 30th Anniversary of their self-titled “Blue Album” — which cemented their presence with hits like “Down” and “All Mixed Up.”

For their stop at the Rooftop at Pier 17 in New York City, we were able to experience the band’s VIP experience that they are currently offering to fans on this tour.

Fans who purchased the “Hive” VIP package received the following perks:

  • One standing GA ticket
  • Meet & Greet and photo with the band
  • Private group production tour
  • Exclusive 311 poster
  • VIP-exclusive merch (tote bag and pin)
  • Commemorative VIP laminate & lanyard
  • Crowd-free merchandise
  • Priority check-in

We spoke to a few fans who attended the private production tour, and they told us that it was a great experience for diehard fans. The tour provided a behind-the-scenes view of the tour, including a rig rundown, and concluded with an onstage photo opportunity.

Later on during the day, VIP ticket holders met by the merch table before being led downstairs for a meet and greet with the band. The band stood in front of a large step-and-repeat sign, and we waited for our turn to greet the band before getting our photo taken — which due to strong organization wasn’t long at all.

If you are a super fan of the band, already planning on buying some merch, and want a chance to meet the band, the VIP experience is worth considering to enhance your concert experience. The VIP experience is provided by SUPER.  Click here to view packages. At this site fans select their desired tour date/location there and then are taken right to the venue-specific Ticketmaster for purchase.

As for the show itself, 311 always delivers. Even with being tasked with taking 30+ years of music and boiling it down to a 22-song setlist, the band still managed to celebrate the self-titled anniversary, share songs from their new album, and mix in hits and deep cuts from their historic career.

311 has become synonymous with summer and getting to hear songs like “Don’t Stay Home” and “Sunset in July” while the sun sets over the New York City skyline was truly something magical to experience. This was the band’s first time performing at the Rooftop at Pier 17, and judging by the size of the crowd and the incredible vibes from that night, it surely won’t be their last.
