The Socially Distanced Podcast was created by two pop culture-obsessed dads during COVID who decided to take their Facebook messenger conversations and turn them into a podcast. In 2022 they brought their friend, a pop culture-obsessed mom to the show, and things got even better!

Join hosts Amanda Rivas and Bill Bodkin as they discuss everything in the world movies, music, sports, television and pop culture — everything keeping them sane in this time of socially distancing. This podcast is powered by ThePopBreak.com.

Socially Distanced is guestless this week as Bill Bodkin and Amanda Rivas chop it up about the world of pop culture.

The trailer for The Mandalorian and Grogu is first up. They discuss their new hope for Star Wars (see what we did there), whether this film is coming way too late, the impetus of Disney+ and how the new Ryan Gosling Star Wars film is the one they’re most excited for.

Next up they go to the year 2000 to discuss things that make them feel real old. They have an in-depth talk about TRL, celebrity crushes, Amanda’s rave past, Bill’s nu metal regrets, tribal tats, tamagotchi and more. If you want to hear a lot of talk about “Faded” by SoulDecision, Savage Garden, Bon Jovi, Amanda’s dating history, Bill’s weird musical history, and more — this conversation is for you.

They then close things out by recapping Pop Breaks last year as the 16 year anniversary is coming up including more social outreach to promote marginalized voices, and charities supporting vulnerable people and communities.
