Saturday Night’s Main Event, which aired on Peacock on May 23, featured entertaining matches for the Intercontinental Championship and the World Tag Team Championship. Overall, it was a good show, but it had a problem that isn’t new in WWE: some matches felt too short.

Jade Cargill, Michin and B-Fab def. Rhea Ripley, Charlotte Flair, and Alexa Bliss | Six-Woman Tag Team Match

I had high expectations for this match, because it featured six strong wrestlers, including Rhea Ripley and Charlotte Flair. At the beginning of the match, the team of Ripley, Flair, and Bliss controlled most of the action, but everything changed when Cargill attacked Bliss and gave her team control.

This match had a lot of action, including moments when all six wrestlers were fighting simultaneously. My prediction was that Ripley’s team would win, but everything changed when Cargill took control near the end, pinned Ripley, and gained victory.

Sol Ruca def. Becky Lynch via Disqualification

I was expecting more action and a longer match. Becky attacked Sol before the bell rang, and later caused the disqualification after pushing the referee into Ruca, giving Ruca the win.

This match was disappointing because it was too short. In the future, I hope we get a better match between these two wrestlers.

Intercontinental Champion Penta def. Ethan Page

Penta has been one of the best wrestlers in the WWE, so I had high expectations for this match, and honestly, it was one of the best matches of the night. Both wrestlers performed really well and gave really exciting moments.

We had control of both wrestlers at different points during the match. In the end, Penta defeated Page with a Mexican Destroyer to retain the Intercontinental Championship. This was a very strong match from both wrestlers.

WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions Paige & Brie Bella def. The Irresistible Forces

This was also one of the weakest matches of the night, as it lacked any exciting moments. The Irresistible Forces controlled most of the match, but near the end, Paige and Bella took control and found a way to win and retain the championship. This was an okay match, but it didn’t have the same level of excitement as the others.

World Tag Team Champions The Vision def. The Street Profits

The main event was better than I expected. With  a lot of energy from The Street Profits with their athletic moves. The match became chaotic when Bron Breaker got involved. At some points, it really looked like The Street Profits were going to win the titles, but in the end, The Vision won after Theory pinned over Ford. giving us an entertaining match to end the night

WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event May 23, 2026 is now streaming on Peacock.
