After six weeks of drama, bombshells, Casa Amor, and plenty of unexpected twists, Love Island USA Season 8 has officially come to an end. The finale was everything fans expected. There were emotional dates, lots of tears, a trip down memory lane, and of course, one final couple was crowned the winner. The episode started with the final four couples heading out on their last dates.
Melanie and Sincere got the first text and were taken to a private island. Their date was all about relaxation. The couple gave each other massages, made their own brick oven pizzas, and spent quality time with each other talking about continuing their connection outside of the villa. It was honestly surprising to see them in the final four after how messy their relationship has been throughout the season. Somehow, they managed to turn things around in the past two days before the finale.
Next were Kayda and Zach. Their date started with a ride on a speed boat that had them getting splashed from every direction. After their wild ride, they sat down at a folding table and ate sandwiches while reflecting on everything they’ve been through together. Honestly, it seemed like production didn’t put much effort into their date at all compared to the other couples. But their connection stayed strong throughout the season, making them one of the biggest contenders heading into the finale.
Aniya and Carl had one of the most memorable dates of the season. It looked like a scene straight out of a fairytale. They had dinner in a beautiful wooded area surrounded by trees, lanterns, and glowing lights. Then they opened a custom storybook that walked them through their relationship from the day they met until now. It was easily the most thought out date of the episode, with the storybook even referring to them as “Princess Aniya” and “Prince Carl.”
Trinity and Bryce ended with a romantic candlelit dinner surrounded by beautiful floral arrangements and a heart made of fire. During the date, the couple told each other “I love you” for the first time. They talked about continuing their relationship in the outside world, explaining how they are committed to making a long distance relationship work. It felt like the perfect way to end their journey before the final results.

After all the dates, the final four couples headed back to the villa for one last night together. It honestly felt weird knowing that this was the last time this group would all sleep together in the villa.
The next morning, the girls woke up to a text telling them to sneak out of the villa because they were leaving for a day of pampering. They got their nails done, spent time together, and reflected on everything they’ve experienced this summer. One of the best parts of every finale is watching the girls look back on the friendships they made. Every season starts with everyone looking for love, but some of the strongest relationships end up being the friendships they build along the way.
That night, the islanders came downstairs for one final surprise. Photos from the first day they entered the villa were displayed around them before they all sat down to watch a highlight reel of the season. The video showed everything from their first entrances, to meeting their partners, making friends, and some of the biggest moments from the past six weeks. It was a fun and sentimental way to look back before saying goodbye to the villa.
But, the surprises didn’t stop there. Celebrity messages from Demi Lovato, Druski, sombr, Lizzo, Kesha, and more appeared on the screen to congratulate the islanders on making it to the end of the season. Finally, it was time to reveal America’s favorite couple.
Kayda and Zach finished in fourth place, which was probably the biggest surprise of the night. They seemed like one of the strongest couples throughout the season, so seeing them miss out on the top three was unexpected. Melanie and Sincere followed in third, Aniya and Carl finished as runners up, and Trinity and Bryce were officially crowned the winners of Love Island USA Season 8! After hearing their names called, they shared how excited they were to continue their relationship outside of the villa. The couple split the $100,000 cash grand prize.
Before wrapping up the season for good, Ariana Madix announced that the Love Island USA Season 8 reunion will air on Peacock on August 31. With everything that happened this summer, there’s no doubt the reunion will bring lots of drama.
To end the night, all of the islanders jumped into the pool together as fireworks lit up the Fiji sky. It was the perfect way to close out another unforgettable summer. Now the only question is…how are we supposed to wait until next season?
