Theater, Rent, No Thanks, Undecided? No Thanks. I don’t normally seek horror movies out. This isn’t to say that I won’t watch them on the fly, if somebody says “You should really see this!” then I’ll sit down and give it the view. With the genre, I prefer the more cerebral type of horror, the one that gets inside your head, and refuses to let you sleep as your pour your mind out over the contents. However, Lords of Salem looks like it could be that type of movie, but it also could be hiding that it might be a straight up gore fest. I don’t know, but either way, I’m not jiving wit it. Theater, Rent, No Thanks, Undecided: Rent (possible theater). Much like LJF I’m not a horror buff, but if my wife asks to see this in the cineplex, we’re there. Having interviewed Rob Zombie last year, I know that despite his ultra-violent past, Lords of Salem is going to be more of a cerebral thriller. I am also a big fan of his first Halloween and The Devil’s Rejects, so I think Lords of Salem could be pretty amazing. I’m also interested to see how Sheri Moon Zombie does carrying an entire film. –BB
