Heidi Moneymaker may not be a household name, but her work has been an integral part of the some of the biggest films of the past years.

As one of the premier stuntwomen in the world, Moneymaker has made all those death-defying moves Scarlett Johansson’s Black Widow executed in Avengers possible. She’s also been one of the key stuntwomen in Star Trek, Iron Man 2, Fast & Furious 6, The Hunger Games (Catching Fire and soon Mockingjay), Cowboys & Aliens, The Lone Ranger, The Expendables and countless other films.

Now, she’s teaming up with fellow famed stuntwoman Zoe Bell, to star in and produce No Touching — an action/horror thriller that’s currently in the midst of a Kickstarter campaign to help produce the film. M

oneymaker recently spoke with Pop-Break to talk about No Touching and why people should get behind the Kickstarter campaign.

Heidi Headshot

What was it about the script/premise of No Touching that drew you to sign onto star and produce this movie?

Heidi Moneymaker: What drew me in about this project was that it was a combination of two of my favorite things: badass female action and a bit of humor.

In the video on Kickstarter you mention how you and Zoe had wanted to collaborate together — what is about Zoe Bell, the stuntwoman and the person that made you want to collaborate with her.

Heidi Moneymaker: Zoe and I met on the set of Poseidon Adventure many years ago and hit it off straight away. We have a really fun dynamic together. We bounce off each other in a really fun way.

You also mention there’d be no shortage of ass kicking in this movie. Were all the fight scenes choreographed by you and Zoe?

Heidi Moneymaker: There will be no shortage of action in No Touching and the fight scenes will be choreographed by myself and Zoe.

While many know you as renowned stuntwoman, you’ve also stepped in front of the camera multiple times. What’s more daunting for you — acting or doing stunt work?

Heidi Moneymaker: I have stepped in front of the camera quite a bit more in the last few years and I would have to say the sometimes the acting is more daunting, but other days the stunt work and fights steal the show. I will say the first time I played my own character and did my owns stunts, I realized how fulfilling it was to become the full character. It feels complete.

In regards to No Touching — why should some donate money to help get this film made?

Heidi Moneymaker: I’ve done a few short films this year and I am really happy with them. I would like to raise the bar (or budget) and continue to create fun and exciting projects. I really enjoy showcasing the talent, strength and charisma of the women I am lucky enough to have in my life. So, these are the reasons I would love for people to donate to No Touching, and I am so thankful for all the support of everyone so far. Fingers crossed!
