Pre-Trailer Thoughts: Ridley Scott gives us a religious film right around the Christmas season. Perfect! –LJF
Pre-Trailer Thoughts: Religious epics are a hit-or-miss proposition, not holding out too much faith here. –BB
Rate the Trailer (1-5): Five out of Five This movie looks epic, almost trying to be The Ten Commandments of this generation. You’ve got the plagues, the parting of the red sea, and a solid cast (Christian Bale, Sigourney Weaver, Aaron Paul, Ben Kingsley) to bring it all to life. Everything shown is breathtaking. Let’s hope the movie lives up to what has been trailer-ized. –LJF
Rate the Trailer (1-5): Three out of Five This movie looks good but, again these epics are a very risky commodity. Sure, we some pretty amazing stuff in this trailer, but did we see all the best parts? There’s something here that strikes me as a weird. Maybe it’s Christian Bale as Moses? Sure, he can act but he just doesn’t seem to fit the part. Or maybe it’s how weird Joel Edgerton looks.
Theater, Rent, No Thanks, Undecided? Theater. This is definitely a must see, and I hopefully will check it out before the end of the year. This sword and sandals slice of cinema could be really good. Don’t wanna miss it.
Theater, Rent, No Thanks, Undecided? Rent. There’s something weird about the movie, something just doesn’t sit right with me, so I’ll be sitting this one out and waiting for it’s release on DVD.
