Summer Jam 2015, considered the largest hip-hop festival, will be the held at the MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey, on Sunday June 7, with an amazing lineup of music stars and even some surprise guests.
Pop-Break will be covering the music festival, and we look forward to meeting some of the biggest hip-hop stars like Kendrick Lamar.
Through his masterpiece album in 2014 titled, To Pimp a Butterfly, Lamar was able to not only deliver an impactful message about race, discrimination, and social change, but also gain attention from countless fans and critics.
The lineup for this year includes: Kendrick Lamar, Big Sean, Chris Brown, Trey Songz, Meek Mill, Fabolous, Childish Gambino, Omarion, and Ty Dolla Sign.
The Festival Village stage, a smaller stage especially for upcoming stars that have made that mark, also has a list of performers that includes: B.o.B, Joey Badass, Dej Loaf, Travis Scott, and Teyana Taylor.
Summer Jam, initially started and popularized by San Francisco’s KMEL radio station from 1987 through the 1990s, has ever since been hosted by the New York-based radio station Hot 97 FM.
