9. Tracy Morgan Tribute
SNL’s long history is filled with those we’ve tragically lost too soon. Last night’s special did an incredible job honoring them all with an emotional In Memoriam delivered by Bill Murray. However, the one tribute that easily hit the hardest was for Tracy Morgan. Unlike the other people honored like Chevy Chase and Eddie Murphy, Morgan wasn’t there because of his horrific accident. Tina Fey and Alec Baldwin, his 30 Rock co-stars, came out to remember his past work and convey how much they, and everyone else, love him. It’s really awful what happened to Morgan, but you can the relief that he wasn’t another addition to those lost. You can totally bet he really, really wanted to be there last night too. Fey and Baldwin were the absolute best people to do this. Hopefully he can be there when next special happens.
