On Thursday, three bands will come together at The Asbury Lanes in Asbury Park, N.J., to help benefit The Food Bank of Monmouth and Ocean County. All artists’ proceeds will go to this organization, which in this economic time and during this holiday season is always stretched to the limit and in need of charitable support. The bands would also like to encourage everyone to bring one or two non-perishable food items. Tickets are $10 at the door, $7 with non-perishable food items.
The bands performing on the bill are:
Alex Biese
The event’s founder, regarded music journalist and friend of Pop-Break.com has been making the rounds on the Jersey Shore music scene for the last several years. He’s played in his fair share of bands — including Tokyo Breakfast, This Island Earth, Just Tonight and Day For Night, later known as Light Gravity Days — but these days performs as a solo acoustic act: just a guitar, a harmonica and some songs. Jamie & The Magic Torch
A New Jersey acoustic solo project featuring Jamie Theurich of Calamity Menagerie and The The O>Matics

Big Wilson River
The Wilson River is a stream, about 33 miles (53 km) long, that flows from the Northern Oregon Coast Range to Tillamook Bay in the state of Oregon. Formed by the confluence of its Devil’s Lake Fork and its South Fork, it runs generally west through the Tillamook State Forest to its mouth near the city of Tillamook. It is one of five rivers—the Tillamook, the Trask, the Wilson, the Kilchis, and the Miami—that flow into the bay … BUT … BIG Wilson River is a trash folk band based out of North Jersey that is ready to rock your pants off, back on, and then off again!
