bill bodkin and logan j. fowler get some retribution…
Theater, Rent, No Thanks, Undecided? No thanks. I don’t even to watch the trailer for the latest Resident Evil to see if it changes my mind. How is this franchise still going? I guess people are still plunking down dollars to give each installment a shot, and hey, it’s keeping Milla working so that’s good. But I fell asleep during the first movie twice and that’s when I was a freshmen, in college. You know, when I was younger and had more energy? I haven’t tried to give any of the other movies following that a try and I doubt I’m going to start now. So no thank you. –LJF
Theater, Rent, No Thanks, Undecided? Rent. I had never given this franchise much attention until one night when I caught all of the fourth Resident Evil film, Afterlife. And I have to admit, this was a fun movie. It’s predictable as the sun rising and setting, but these films really speak to your inner 13-year-old who enjoys buckets of bullets being poured into the living dead. Does the storyline really matter…no. Do I have any emotional investment in any of the characters…no. But, is the film worth renting on a rainy day to serve as a good escapist distraction…yes. –BB
