the news desk updates you on the biggest fest to hit the Garden State this year…
And so it begins…
The official and initial line-up for the 2013 edition of The Skate & Surf Festival has officially been announced — and we’ve got to admit, it’s a really good one so far.
In early December, A Day to Remember let it slip that they would be performing, but this week it was announced that Jersey pop punk/emo heavyweights Saves the Day, the one-man party Andrew W.K. and punk rock heavyweights Bayside and Mackelmore & Ryan Lewis will be four of the top tier names gracing the stages of the Plaza Green at Freehold’s iPlay America on the weekend of May 18 and May 19.
Also joining the bill is Transit (who impressed the hell out of us when they opened for The Starting Line), hip-hop artist Hopsin, indie rock outfit Into It. Over It, hardcore/punk unit Hostage Calm, metalcore band Issues, Tyler Carter who will be performing with Issues and presumably on his own and Long Island’s own indie rock/sci-fi nerds This Good Robot.
Tickets are on sale now and can be purchased at this link.
Also don’t forget to check out Pop-Break’s interviews with: Andrew W.K., Saves the Day, Anthony Raneri of Bayside and the band Bayside.
