We’re stoked for Summer 2013, especially at the legendary Stone Pony in Asbury Park, N.J.

Yes, we may be a bit biased since Asbury Park is our homebase, but the line-up this year is probably one of the venue’s best in ages. Obviously you can read the above graphic to check out the SummerStage line-up but we’d like to highlight some shows inside the venue (and some out) that we think you’ll dig.

Thursday May 23rd: Jason Newsted of formerly Metallica brings his new quartet, aptly named Newsted, to town. Wilson and Black Ocean to open. Check out our interview with Jason here.

Saturday May 25th and Sunday May 26th: The Gaslight Anthem returns home and christens the SummerStage! On Saturday they’ll bring The Hold Steady and Luther with them while on Sunday it’ll be The Felice Brothers and Luther with a post-show performance indoors by The Dirty Pearls.

Friday May 31st: Tom Keifer of Cinderella, who just dropped a new album on Merovee Records, will be performing. If you haven’t heard his new stuff, you’re missing out on something awesome.

Thursday June 6th: The Olms performs. Who are The Olms? They’re the new band featuring JD King and Jersey’s favorite alt-rocker Pete Yorn.

Friday June 7th: The annual joyous jam that is Rusted Root at The Pony returns. They’ll have James “JPat” Dalton and Quincy Mumford along for the ride. Check out our interview with Rusted Root from last year.

Saturday June 8th: Punk troubadour Frank Turner returns to AP. After selling out Wonder Bar last year in seconds, he is in town to promote his new record, if there’s ticket remaining to this we’d be stunned. Check out interview with Frank Turner.

Sunday June 9th: Canadian pop rockers Marianas Trench comes in to town with their youth movement along with Air Dubai, Ghost Town and Protector.

Thursday June 13th: Indie rockers Ra Ra Riot along with the wonderfully named We Were Promised Jet Packs come into town.

Friday June 14th: The psychedelic good time that is Deer Tick returns to The Pony.

Sunday June 16th: The Spirit of a Child Foundation presents a benefit concert with the famed Marshall Tucker Band.

Wednesday June 19th: If you’re feeling in a metal mood, check out popular nu metal holdovers Trapt along with Set it Free, Era9 and others. Check out our interview with Set It Free.

Saturday June 29th: Get all sorts of crazy with Keller Williams.

Sunday June 30th: The Summer Sickness Tour arrives in Asbury with Authority Zero and Ballyhoo! headlining.

Friday July 5th: The youth movement at The Pony continues with The Maine, A Rocket to the Moon, This Century and Brighten. Check out our interview with A Rocket to the Moon.

Thursday July 11th: Here’s a name we haven’t heard in a minute — Relient K! They return to the rock world at The Pony in early July.

Thursday July 25th: Experience a truly unique show as the famed didgeridoo player and all around righteous acoustic guitarist Xavier Rudd comes to the Shore.

Sunday July 28th: The acoustic stylings of Citizen Cope returns to The Pony.

Tuesday August 13th: Jack Johnson acolyte, surfer and all-around awesome musician Donavon Frankenreiter returns for his annual Pony summer jam.

Wednesday August 14th: Scott Weiland formerly of Stone Temple Pilots and Velvet Revolver returns as he celebrates the classic STP albums Core and Purple.

Thursday August 15th: Get seriously irie as The Original Wailers make their return.
