Official press release…
Rugged, but polished. Heavy, but melodic. Hard rock with exposed roots; Empire Escorts has tapped into a sound that is raw and jolting, yet meticulously constructed and delivered. The New Jersey-based quartet is known for their chord-cutting progression and powerhouse vocals.
The group’s newest single “Keep the Ghosts at Bay” expands on the band’s self-titled debut EP (released this past spring), and boasts momentum-driven, hard rock fueled elements that define Empire Escorts’ sound. The single is now streaming on Speak Into My Good Eye and is available for free digital download on Bandcamp with email sign-up. “Keep the Ghosts at Bay” was produced by Paul Richie, whose masterfully arranged tracks have also lent a hand in developing promising acts such as The Parlob Mob and Only Living Boy.
In support of their new material, the group’s “Empire Expansion Tour’ will be kicking off on September 13th at the Court Tavern in New Brunswick, NJ. They’ll be hitting major markets such as Penn State University, Cleveland, OH, Washington,DC and Baltimore, MD on their 10-day tour. The band has launched a Kickstarter campaign to raise tour funds. Pledgers can receive items such as limited edition t-shirts, a lunch date with the band in Cleveland, OH, hand-written lyrics framed and signed, and even a personal house party show!
With a tour history that has taken them up and down the east coast and on the stage with acts such as Seether, Clutch, and Into Another, the group’s relatively short career points to all signs of success. Their involvement and dedication to their local scene has given them a springboard of opportunity to expand as one of the hardest-hitting and most viable up-and-coming rock bands today.
