What better way to close out summer and pre-game fall than with a beautiful day out on Governor’s Island in New York City surrounded by delicious food and fantastic music.

The Governor’s Island Music & Seafood Beach party is a special event thrown by the awesome people from CEG Presents that’ll be held on Saturday, September 6th.

Music (on two stages) will be provided by: Badfish: A Tribute to Sublime, Easy Star All-Stars (performing their cult classic record, Dub Side of the Moon), Alan Evans’ (of Soulive fame) Playonbrother, Superhuman Happiness, CCB (performing a Bob Marley tribute set), Jimmy Kenny & The Pirate Beach Band (performing the best of Jimmy Buffet, Kenny Chesney, and Zac Brown), Hot Lava, Spiritual Rez, DJ Cochon de Lait and more to be announced.

There will be craft beer served to those of drinking age, plus a delicious selection of lobster rolls, shrimp, oysters and more. There will be a giant sand beach for people to chill out and there will be a ton of other activities for the family to enjoy.

And yes, this is an all-ages event as kids 5-years-old and younger get in for free.

The Governor’s Island Ferry departs from the Battery Maritime Building (10 South Street in Manhattan) and there will be continuous and frequent service through out the day.
