Who doesn’t want a free pair of tickets to a kick-ass rock ‘n’ roll show? Especially one at a kick-ass punk rock club?
That’s right The Orwells, Skaters and SMALLTALK will be performing this Friday night, October 17th at the world famous Asbury Lanes and we wanna get you in there for free.
Oh, and it’s also one of the official release weekend parties of the 24-Hour Songwriting Challenge Compilation by Speak Into My Good Eye.
The Rules: Retweet this story. Tag @PopBreakDotCom and @AsburyLanes in the Tweet to qualify. We’ll pick the winner Friday.
Let’s look at who’s performing.
The Orwells. The rowdy, raucous, killer group of teenage rock ‘n’ rollers slayed audiences this year with their bombastic performance on The David Letterman Show and now they’re a legit player in the rock world. Check out our interview with the band.
Skaters. The NYC band who just dropped their debut record this year, is such a damn good band. They have this wonderfully alt rock sound that’s melodic as hell with a driving beat. Killer. Infectious. Definitely something you should be jumping on.
SMALLTALK. Not gonna lie, these local musicians are absolutely amazing. They have this fantastic indepop sound. Oh did we mention that the band is made up of: Zak Kaplan (The Ratchets), Pete Steinkopf (Bouncing Souls), Jamie Goldfarb (Miss TK and The Revenge), John Chladniček (Zero Zero), and Tara Jones (The Get Rights). Are you surprised at the awesomeness here?
