Tonight is a very, very cool night in the world of the Asbury Park music scene – it’s the 2014 Asbury Music Awards.
The event will take place at legendary Stone Pony with doors opening at 6pm with music going throughout the night. Comedian Taylor Allen will be the host for the evening and there will be performances by: Hot Blood, Eastbourne, Bobby Mahoney & the Seventh Son, Lords of Mercy, Sofia Nicole, Francis Lombardi, Matt Wade, The Battery Electric and Deal Casino.
Tickets are $20, but all nominees get in for free.
The night is truly a celebration of what has been an amazing year for the Asbury music scene. It’s a night where all the bands, photographers, writers, sites, promoters and sound engineers come together to be honored by the people who fill up the venues as well as their peers.
For us, we’re going to come out and say it – this means a lot to be nominated. We were nominated in 2012 and to be recognized again this year is an honor. To be appreciated by a scene that’s this vibrant, that has this much history behind and is filled with legitimate soon-to-be-national headlining talent, is a truly humbling (in the most positive way) experience.
