Point Break Remake Trailer Officially Drops
The long-awaited remake of the classic 90s action-thriller Point Break has revealed its first poster and trailer.
The film, set in modern day, will focus on thrill seeking FBI agent Johnny Utah (The November Man’s Luke Bracey) who must infiltrate a gang of adrenaline junkies/like-minded extreme athletes led by Bodhi (Edgar Ramirez – Zero Dark Thirty, The Bourne Ultimatum).
The film also stars Ray Winstone (The Departed) taking over the Gary Busey role of Utah’s older FBI partner, Teresa Palmer (Warm Bodies) assuming the Lori Petty role of Utah’s love interest, Delroy Lindo (Get Shorty, Broken Arrow), and taking over as the head of Utah’s FBI unit (replacing Scrubs’ John C. McGinley). Look close and you’ll see a cameo from two an original cast members.
The film will be directed by Ericson Core, who last helmed the Mark Wahlberg football drama Invincible and was the cinematographer on such films as Mel Gibson’s Payback and the original Daredevil.
The film is slated for a Christmas Day release.
With this site being named after the original film, we will have a full break down of the trailer later this week.
