Pre-Trailer Thoughts: Christoph Waltz as a Bond bad guy. It is about damn time.-LJF
Pre-Trailer Thoughts: Skyfall was one of the best Bond movies to date, bringing the series roaring back after the disappointment that was Quantum of Solace. With director Sam Mendes coming back and Daniel Craig returning for his fourth go-round as James Bond, plus new villain Christoph Waltz, things are gearing up for another fantastic entry in the franchise. – JTM
Rate the Trailer: 4 out of 5. This is got everything one would want out a James Bond movie trailer. Plus, you have former wrestler Bautista looking like a massive thug who could put down Bond with one punch. The only problem with the trailer is that it is rough when it comes to editing. It seems a little wonky, but the job is done. I’m all in for this. Plus Christoph Waltz as the enemy? This has all the makings of a James Bond entry that could top Skyfall. That’s a tall order, but its possible.-LJF
Rate the Trailer: 4 out of 5. Cool gadgets, beautiful girls, fast cars, thrilling action set pieces and memorable villains. These are the major tenants of the James Bond films, and all are on full display here. Waltz is only in the trailer for a short time, but his few shots and voiceover give the impression of a truly formidable enemy. We also get a few glimpses of the opening action sequence set during a Day of the Dead parade, a scene that director Mendes has promised would top any of the ones in Skyfall. – JTM
Theater, Rent, No Thanks, Undecided? Theater. I’ve seen all of the Daniel Craig Bond films in theaters and I don’t intend to stop now. Skyfall was a blast and with director Sam Mendes coming back it can only mean good things for the next installment of everyone’s favorite British super spy. November 6th can’t come soon enough.-LJF
Theater, Rent, Undecided, No Thanks? Theater. I enjoy a lot of the James Bond series, and Skyfall might have been my favorite film of all of them. The breathtaking action sequences, excellent antagonist, and surprisingly deep look into James Bond’s past elevate it beyond many of the other entries. With much of the same cast and crew returning, this trailer just sealed the deal that this is going to be a must-see film for me.-JTM
