‘Clyde Bruckman’s Final Repose’
(Season 3, Episode 4)
When a string of murders involving psychics and fortune tellers take place, Agents Mulder and Scully come across a mysterious individual named Clyde Bruckman. Bruckman, a recluse who also has the ability to forsee how people are going to die.
Why it’s worth checking out: If you ask most people who have watched the series their top episodes, chances are this will be in it, if not their favorite. Darin Morgan, who only wrote a handful of episodes, won an Emmy for this one. Guest Star Peter Boyle, who plays Bruckman won an award as well. This episode in particular plays humor into the mix with it’s dark themes which became a common staple with the characters, especially Mulder. All in all, an amazing episode for a show only in its third season. A must watch!
