Wrestlemania 33 Predictions: John Cena and Nikki Bella vs. The Miz and Maryse

John Cena and Nikki Bella vs. The Miz and Maryse

Some have said that John Cena vs. The Miz from Wrestlemania 27 is one of the worst main events in WrestleMania history. While the match did leave a lot to be desired, both competitors put on a decent match that was overshadowed by the appearance of The Rock. Now, six years later, the two meet again, this time with their respective women involved.

At first glance, the match seems pretty basic. However, The Miz is on the top of his game right now. Ever since the brand split in mid-2016, The Miz has been incredible on the mic. His wit and charm make for this era’s best heel, hands down. Yes, John Cena is great (and quite frankly doesn’t deserve the hate), Nikki Bella is the most improved female athlete since Trish Stratus and Maryse is, well, also very good. But it’s The Miz who really shines here, spitting out such poison about Cena and Bella’s personal lives, you wonder how Big Match John signed off on all of this.

Look, Cena and Bella are winning. That’s obvious. Bella has been hinting at retirement and this is the perfect stage to do it. However, that doesn’t stop me from being excited for this match. It won’t be a wrestling masterpiece but the pre-match promo should be fantastic and the match should be entertaining enough. I’m also predicting Cena proposes to Bella post-match and the crowd goes berserk.

My only hope is that The Miz gets back to the main event this summer. He deserves it and I would rather see him as champion more than anyone else on the SmackDown roster not named AJ!

Winner(s): John Cena and Nikki Bella
