DeadMau5, Lettuce, Bonobo to Headline Chicago’s North Coast Music Festival

Looking for something to do this Labor Day weekend? Look no further than Chicago’s own North Coast Music Festival. Featuring a top-notch lineup with some big surprise headliners, this year promises to be one for the books.

The three-day festival (Sept. 1-3, Friday-Sunday) at Union Park demands attention this year. Not only do they present a wide selection of music, the artists are top notch. If your tastes are more funky and dancetastic, they have Lettuce, Deadmau5, and Bonobo (a rare live set, which is a real treat). For those more interested in some spaced-out exploratory jamming, Joe Russo’s Almost Dead, STS9, and Spafford will take you on a trip. And for those of you looking for something completely different, Sunday boasts one of the most impressive sets of headliners in recent memory: British electronic maestro Tipper will keep things sparkly and glittering, before the one-two punch of Primus and Ween to close out the festival. Other artists include Manic Focus, Ganja White Night, Sunsquabi, Tank and the Bangas, Damian “Jr. Gong” Marley, and more. For the full lineup, see image below.

As a non-camping festival, North Coast provides an optimal experience for those looking to take in some quality tunes and retreat to the comfort of their own homes to recharge. In addition, there are numerous after parties all over the city (more information can be found at the festival website, mentioned above).

Chicago is a fantastic music city, and North Coast 2017 is shaping up to be another success for an already star-studded musical year. Get out there and enjoy some sizzling hot tunes, cold beer, and make some memories at North Coast this year. See you there!
