Monday Night RAW Takes the Fight Overseas

The shows kicks off with Miz TV, with Kurt Angle. Curt Axel is in a neckbrace. Poor guy. Angle apologizes to Daniel Bryan, but Miz doesn’t buy it. He gets a bit too confrontational, and winds up facing Braun Strowman tonight.

In a mildly entertaining match, Jason Jordan defeated Elias in a Guitar on a Pole match. Odd. Later on, Jordan gets named as the final member of Team RAW. Hoo boy. Really hating the whole gimmick for Jordan as Angle’s son. Really hating it. They really can just drop the bit now. Unless he makes some crazy heel turn.

Asuka beats a jobber, and joins Nia Jax and Alicia Fox on Women’s Team RAW.

Samoa Joe murders Titus O’Neal and demands a real match. He gets Finn Balor.  We get an awesome match, sadly, ending in a double-count out. Upside, is Angle comes out and adds them to Team RAW. Cool.

Bayley and Sasha Banks defeated Alicia Fox and Nia Jax. Pretty good match, Jax continues to dominate, and oddly enough, the Women’s RAW Team Captain takes the submission loss. However, Fox then adds only Banks to her team. Hmmm… Also strange, first Nia Jax comes out, then they bring out Bayley and Banks, and then Fox. Maybe a production botch? The live crowd sings for Bayley very loudly. Very loudly. I really wonder when either Bayley or Banks will go heel. I mean, this is being drawn out longer and longer with the whole “friendly competition” bit.

Miz vs. Strowman goes all sorts of sideways. Dallas and Axel attempt to run interference, but things don’t go well for anyone associated with The Miztourage until Kane shows up. Really, it doesn’t. Strowman just mauls Miz the entire time. A chokeslam attempt fails, and Strowman plants the Red Guy with a powerslam. Kane does a deadman sit up, but Strowman is able to fight everyone off.

Out in the ring is Enzo who banters towards Kalisto about their title bout at Survivor Series. Angle comes out to tell Enzo, he has a match tonight… and out comes the UK homeboy, “The Bruiserweight” Pete Dunne. Short match, Dunne wins, live UK crowd goes wild. WWE UK invades 205Live tomorrow night.

Backstage, Alexa Bliss berates Natalaya.

In the main event, The Bar (Cesaro/Sheamus) defeat The Shield (Rollins/Ambrose) to win the WWE RAW Tag Team Championships.

Well, that got interesting. The New Day arrive and claim another Siege is going down, making fun of how RAW is too afraid to strike back. Angle rallies the troops, and while this major distraction is going on, Sheamus demolishes Ambrose with a big time Brough Kick to win the titles.
