Iconic New Jersey music columnist Bob Makin, the author of the Makin Waves column, will team with The Asbury Park Brewery to present a series of summer concerts.
Makin Waves has a history of throwing eclectic shows all over Central New Jersey, now after a successful 30th Anniversary show in Asbury Park, the shows will come to the Shore this summer.
The Asbury Park Brewery is no stranger to live music. The brewery often has live performances thanks to the braintrust at Aftermath Collective.
Here’s the shows that Makin Waves will be presenting this summer…
June 23: “The Best of Makin Waves” with Cook Thugless, The Brixton Riot, Mr. Payday, The Successful Failures and Disposable
July 14: “Trenton Makes Takeover” with Hub City Stompers, The Cryptkeeper Five, Molly Rhythm, Experiment 34, and Chalk & The Beige Americans.
July 28: “Cray, Rotten, Hot, Vicious and … Brown” with Crazy & The Brains, Hot Blood, Doc Rotten, and Chris Brown.
August 11: “Second Annual Makin Waves Roots Fest” with Cranston Dean Band, Levy & The Oaks, The Burns, The Paper Jets and Tara Dente
Each show is $5 to enter. Doors, and dinner start at 6 p.m. — with a different food truck serving eats at each event. There’ll also be some outdoor games, prizes, and more.
