The intro to our final season of Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt finds our protagonist at her new job working for Giztoob. Kimmy seems to be on top of the world as she is hugging, high-fiving, and even dispensing T-shirts (from a shirt cannon) to her coworkers. As she is asked to fire a fellow employee, Kimmy explains, “I’m not an Eeyore! I’m a Pooh. I’m a big old Pooh!”
Naturally Kimmy tries to make the coworker as comfortable as possible, but ends up accidentally sexually harassing him. Kimmy eventually sees that she is a bit “extra” at work, and the scene with her laughing and shooting T-shirts in an almost super villain sort of way was on point.
Meanwhile, Titus and Jacqueline create a fake show in an attempt to get Mike’s attention. The hero has super strength and makes capes. They are certainly successful as Greg Kinnear even makes a majorly unexpected appearance. Kinnear agrees to work on a project with Titus and I’m super excited to see where this goes on all levels. I feel like this could be magic.
Lillian is always hilarious. As she tries to scatter her boyfriend Artie’s ashes at his old summer camp, she finds that the camp has become a high end club for rich men. Lillian selling the ashes as cocaine to the club goers for $1200 was brilliant.
Kimmy’s solution to dealing with her work issues by imagining all of coworkers as Titus was clever. I’m always a fan of more Titus. His winning line this episode was regarding ghosts in their home. “Then how I come I wake up every morning fully slimed!”
Oh yeah, the conclusion of the episode was over my head at this point, but it seems there are some shananigans afoot involving a guy with a puppet and a large sum of money. To be continued!
