Franklin Music Hall in Philly, formerly The Electric Factory (and North Seven for a hot minute) recently was treated to a show of epic proportions.

As the crowd prepared for CHVRCHES, the LA-based group Lo Moon performed their hits such as “Loveless.” The band created an atmosphere of purity spiked with long-stretching melodies of romance and love guided by the strength of Matt Lowell’s voice. The smoke and ambiance painted the venue in a dreamlike fantasy. Lo Moon is definitely a band to keep on your radar.

Lo Moon Setlist:

This Is It
The Right Thing
Thorns
Tried to Make You My Own
Real Love
For Me It’s You
Loveless

Shortly after LoMoon’s tight set, CHVRCHES held mass to the hundreds in attendance. Lead singer Lauren Mayberry blasted through the sound barrier with her voice which exuded pure joy. Accompanied by the co-frontmen Martin Doherty and keyboardist Iain Cook, the trio can not only put on a hell of a set, but they’ve ascended to an essential live act that has to be seen to be believed.

The set was a celebration of synth pop-packed songs with catchy hooks that absolutely rocked the house. Mayberry’s amazing spark of enthusiasm causes her to essentially ne a one woman show in between the band’s hits and new singles from their edgy new album, Love is Dead.

Together, Lo Moon and CHVRCHES led an electric filled evening with a mix of amazing music, love and energy that sets them apart from the rest.

CHVRCHES set list:

Graffiti
Graves
Under the Tide
