FLOOD Magazine presented its annual FLOODFEST at Cedar Street Courtyard on March 12 and March 13. The 5th annual festival featured White Denim, and Broken Social headlining the first day, while Big Boi and Goodie Mob headlined the second day.
The event was sponsored by Magic Leap. According to press release, “Magic Leap develops a wearable computer that allows digital content to step out from the screen and into your real world. At FLOODfest presented by Magic Leap, they are proud to showcase two mixed reality experiences exclusively designed for Magic Leap One.”
In addition to the bands, they had two demo areas, showcasing exclusive artist collaborations with Sigur Rós and Sennheiser.
Sennheiser’s AMBEO Lab allowed for more engagement by creating a fully interactive environment. Through the use of a hand controller, users could point at different options to capture, touch and shape sound by knocking, tapping and interacting with those objects.”
