Con season is finally back, and all geeks know cons go hand-in-hand with nerdy news and exciting new announcements about pop culture. A big announcement came out of C2E2 this weekened, especially if you are into Conventions, Cosplay, Collectibles and Culture. If you are, then you will want to check out this new magazine with an explosive title, C4 Magazine. C4 Magazine will feature all the above mentioned topics in print and digital forms. The magazine will be released quarterly and internationally. You can expect to see C4 Magazine debut this summer.
C4 Magazine is meshing a diverse amount of topics. Not only will readers see cosplay photos, but they will get original stories, celebrity opinion pieces, fully-transcribed panels, and even coverage from music festivals. What makes this all so exciting is that C4 has collected a group of people that are passionate about all of these topics. They’re all industry professionals. The most important factor, they are all truly fans, just like us.
To quote Rachael Harvey, the Art Director of C4 Magazine:
“What separates C4 Magazine from the pack, is that each and everyone one of us on this team is not only an industry professional, we’re fans as well…At the core of everything here, we are a handful of nerds that have been fortunate enough to earn acceptance and respect in the beautiful industry of pop-culture.”
C4 has 29 more days to go on it’s KickStarter. There are a lot of great rewards for pledges. You can have your name added as a thank you in the first issue, company name thank you, shout-outs, full page articles, full year subscriptions, and much more. For more information on pledge tiers check out C4 Magazine’s KickStarter.
So, when can we expect to see C4 Magazine to be released? C4’s Inaugural issue will coincidence with Comic-Con’s 50th Anniversary (July 2019). And, in case you missed it, what is so exciting about this new title is that I’ve never seen these 4 topics intermingle like this. But, to be able to pick up one magazine that covers Cosplay, Conventions, Collectibles, and Culture? And, as an added bonus musical festival coverage? What more could the geek inside ask for? C4 sounds like it will be a huge undertaking with all fandoms taken into consideration. And, I personally can not wait to see what lies ahead.
