Pop Break Live: Greta Van Fleet at The Stone Pony Summer Stage in Asbury Park, New Jersey
A little over one year after selling out (and tearing the roof off of) the Starland Ballroom, Greta Van Fleet returned to the Jersey Shore, but this time they brought their throwback rock ‘n’ roll sound to the Stone Pony Summer Stage and delivered another unforgettable performance.
It’s been a crazy 12 months for the four-piece band from Frankenmuth, Michigan. They’ve played Saturday Night Live,  won a Grammy Award for Best Rock Album, and released their debut full-length album, Anthem of the Peaceful Army. They kicked off the album supporting tour, March of the Peaceful Army, earlier this month and their stop in Asbury Park was one of the fastest selling shows at the venue in recent history.
The band played a tight set featuring some of their big hits (“Black Smoke Rising,” “Highway Tune”) and tracks from their debut album like “Age of Man,” “You’re the One,” and “When the Curtain Falls.”
They capped off the night with a rousing rendition of “Safari Song” and melted the faces off of the absolutely packed Asbury park crowd.
Greta Van Fleet proved, once again, that they are the rock ‘n’ roll stars many have been searching decades for.
