Convention Hell 2019 returns to scare the ghosts of the boardwalk on Saturday October 26.
The grand tradition, which started back in 2015, returns to (you guessed it) Convention Hall for a night filled with bands adopting legendary personas for one night only.
This year, the show is presented by show founders Dark City Entertainment, along with Jams on the Sand, and the Asbury Park Boardwalk.
This year the line-up takes a little bit of a different turn as it will feature:
- National jam touring act Kung Fu performing as The Who
- Pop/Reggae staple Quincy Mumford reviving his Prince tribute.
- Convention Hell regulars Des & The Swagmatics performing the funky sounds of Rick James.
- Convention Hell and Another 90s New Year regulars The Vansaders gearing up as The Clash.
- DJ Foggy Notion, one of Asbury’s favorite turntablists, will spin spooky song in between sets.
Doors for Convention Hell 2019 are 7 p.m. with an 8 p.m. start time. This is a 21+ event.
Attendees of the show are encouraged to dress up for the show, and if history does repeat itself, there will more than likely be a step and repeat for you and your friends/loved ones to get your photo taken in costume.
Tickets are $20 in advance, and $25 on the night.
