The 100 (The CW Network 2014-Current)

Having so much time at home, the show I’ve been investing my time into is The CW’s The 100, which debuted in 2014 and is currently scheduled to begin its 7th and final season this May.

I’ve already seen most of the seasons a few times, as it is one of my favorites, but the reason I’m back to rewatching the entire series while living under quarantine is because its familiarity is a huge comfort in a stressful time.

The story focuses on a post-apocalyptic world where teenagers are sent from their home in space back to Earth, to see if the ground is survivable again. The characters are complex and the issues they face shift so often there is never time to be bored. There are a lot of battles with new enemies, filled with unexpected twists, which has led to the show being a great way to get my mind off of everything going on and lose myself in a completely new and compelling world.

All previous seasons are available in the US on Netflix, and The 100’s finale season is currently still scheduled to debut May 20th at 8pm on The CW.
