Avori Henderson on the Transition from Full-Time Model to Full-Time Gamer

If there ever was a time in the world to stay at home and dive deep into your favorite video games, now is that time.

Silver linings such as this are harder to find each day during this quarantine, but our day was certainly brightened during our conversation with former pageant participant turned trailblazing gamer, Avori Henderson.

From a young age, Avori made it her goal to model professionally and has since made her dream a reality, by taking home three titles in the Miss America Organization.

In the midst of her success as a model, she began to upload her gaming abilities online and quickly gained a fan-base as a female trailblazer in that world as a full-time video game streamer and content creator. Avori has also used her platform to raise money for causes such as FredHutch and the Children’s Miracle Network. Her Girl Gamer Royale brought in over 150,000 viewers and over $5,000 for charity.

Avori joins The Pop Break’s Rob Crowther IV and Kriss Nunez to talk gaming, traveling the world, dealing with misogyny, normalizing her unique role and inspiring up and coming female gamers.
