Twenty One Pilots are known for their larger than life live shows as well as well as their hook-laden anthems and ear worms.

Tonight, the band’s single “Hometown” will serve as the theme song for MLB Network’s coverage of the 2020 Major League Baseball draft.

“Hometown” will appear in the opening of the show and will score a video (embedded at the top of this story) featuring some of the biggest names in baseball today — Tim Anderson (Shortstop – Chicago White Sox), Aaron Judge (Right Field – New York Yankees) and Mike Trout (Center Field – Anaheim Angels). The video will also feature the announcement — announced by MLB Commissioner Rob Manfred and Commissioner Emeritus Bug Seligof the Baltimore Orioles’ selection of Adley Rutschman (Catcher) as the first overall pick in the 2019 draft

This is not the first time Twenty One Pilots and Major League Baseball have teamed up. Last year during All-Star Weekend, the band performed a two-hour set in front of their Columbus, Ohio hometown crowd at the “Play Ball Park.” This was the first night performance (on a Friday) along with Ohio’s Welshly Arms. The Killers and White Reaper played the following night.

If you’re starved for actual Major League Baseball action, then tuning into the draft at 7 p.m. EST tonight will definitely satiate some of your hunger. The network will air the first round, and “Competitive Balance Round A.” The second through fifth round airs Thursday June 11 at 5 p.m. EST. The event, as it has for 11 previous years, will emanate from Secaucus, New Jersey. However, this will be the first in the history of MLB Network that every round will see air time.
