It’s Pod on the Rooftops, a podcast dedicated to the British rock band Genesis! Pod on the Rooftops is a new podcast miniseries that delves into Genesis’s full discography, from 1969 to 1997.
Hosted by three buddies with a mutual love for all things Banks, Collins, Gabriel, Hackett, and Rutherford (and occasionally Phillips and Wilson), this series showcases the varied tastes and flavors of the band over the years…to say nothing of the varied opinions of the hosts.
In this sixth and final episode, Justin Mancini, Luke Franc, and Noah Franc look back on their latest revisit of Genesis’s oeuvre. In addition to their reflections on the band’s career, the hosts reveal their favorite album covers, discuss the solo outings of the core five members, and debate their top three and bottom three albums from the group.
If you’re the kind of Genesis devotee who debates the highs and lows of Genesis’s prog excesses and pop sensibilities, this is a podcast for you. Likewise, if you’re totally new to the band and don’t know a Squonk from a Slipperman, we hope this podcast will encourage you to discover the riches that await you in the Genesis canon.
Theme composed for the podcast by Luke Franc.
