Super Duper Bowl III: This Time It’s Online!

Our good friends from the Callin’ The Shots Podcast are back as they’re presenting the Super Duper Bowl III today.

The sports-comedy podcast, created and hosted by Taylor Allen (a past guest on the Socially Distanced Podcast) and Steve Arena, will be broadcast live before the big game via Facebook Live at 7 p.m. EST. The past two years the show has broadcast from House of Independents in Asbury Park, New Jersey but for the safety of all involved this will be a virtual event.

While it might not be a “fan attended event” the Super Duper Bowl III will still feature some of the best names in comedy — both on a local New Jersey and national level.

Kurt Braunholer, last year’s headliner, will return for the show. The Jersey Shore native has been in films such as The Big Sick, and shows like Maria Bamford’s Lady Dynamite as well as a slew of national television commercials. He’s also the host of The K Ohle with Kurt Braunohler podcast.

Joining Braunohler at Super Duper Bowl III will be comedians Ariel Leaty, Casey Jost of Impractical Jokers, Kate Nichols, JC Hendricks, Ryan Barry, Joe Imburgio as well as Mike Zapcic and Ming Chen formerly of AMC’s Comic Book Men. We cannot confirm or deny that the official Callin’ the Shots mascot “Shotty The Party Crab” will also be in the house.

Pop Break will be represents as Angelo Gingerelli (who pens “NJ Next” our independent New Jersey hip hop column) and staff writer Melissa Jouben (who’ll be performing as a part of Warm Things along with Dan Gagliardi) will be on the show.

The actual big game might not be for everyone (seriously how many times do we need to hear people extol the greatness of Tom Brady) so if you need some huge laughs before all the great movie and TV trailers hit or just something to pass the time as you wait for your wings to arrive — check out Super Duper Bowl III.

Super Duper Bowl III will streaming on Facebook Live.
