Pop punk and emo fans certainly woke up Tuesday morning asking themselves, “What’s my Age Again?” as Live Nation announced a massive pop punk emo festival known as The Adjacent Music Festival. The festival, scheduled for the weekend of May 27-28th in Atlantic City, NJ, will be headlined by pop punk royalty Blink-182 and Paramore.
The festival features many fan favorite pop punk and emo acts including The Starting Line, Coheed and Cambria, Bleachers, Jimmy Eat World, Thursday, IDLES, Beach Bunny, Motion City Soundtrack, Turnstile, Japanese Breakfast, and more. New Jersey will be represented well as The Front Bottoms, Well Wisher, Midtown, The Happy Fits and more take the stage. Fans are sure to exclaim, “Ain’t it fun?” amongst mosh pits, crowd surfing, and some of the most high pitched vented snare drums they’ll ever hear.
The announcement comes not too long after the surprise return of Blink 182’s most notable lineup with original member Tom DeLonge who had fans exclaiming, “I Miss You” over the past few years. The band also announced a new album and tour dates through 2023. Many fans noticed an Atlantic City date listed for May 28th with no venue or ticket information until this morning’s announcement. Certainly this surprise featuring the Paramore would be one of the “Only Exception(s)” when it came to any sort of alternative.
That Atlantic City beachfront has always been known for hosting many stellar music festivals, but The Adjacent Music Festival should be on a whole other level. That’s what you get when fans clamor for big time reunions of this magnitude and The Adjacent Music Festival has certainly answered the call.
Tickets for The Adjacent Music Festival will be on sale Thursday morning at 10am EST at click here.
